Juice Gang Jazz will combine stories of
power generation in King County with original music composition, live
jazz improvisation, and music visualization software into a 60-minute
program. Specifically, digital visualizations of audio signals during
a live performance of the Steve Griggs Ensemble, an improvising jazz
quintet, will be projected behind the ensemble at free events for the
public at historic King County power generation facilities (see list
below) and Local Arts Agencies. Juice Gang is slang for electricians.
The music and visualizations will explore themes of energy used for
technology (sun, wind, fire, water, steam, electricity, fission).
